Ways to Teach Hip Hop Dance


This class includes basic Hip Hop movements. Popping is a very quick movement that includes a contraction and release of muscles. Locking is a series of joint isolations in various body zones. Boogaloo is a very loose movement, mostly with the hips and the legs. Dancers appear as if they have no bones when they’re dancing. Breaking is an unstructured, well-known element of Hip Hop.
